We have decided to celebrate the new year with a new release. It has  been prepared by an artist already familiar to Export Label fans. After  the singles ‘Natural Thing’ and ‘Whale’,  it’s time for Cuefx to present a full-length album. ‘International  Post-War Chill’ is both musically and thematically rich; each of the  eleven compositions tells a separate story, and touches upon different  branches and varieties of jazz. This has been possible thanks to the  cooperation of Dominik Strycharski (flutes, vocals, lyrics), Aleksander  Papierz (saxophones), Tomasz Barzęc (trumpet, voice) and Jacek Latoń  (Cuefx), who supervised the project, and took great care to weave the  sounds together for us to fully experience ‘International Post-War  Chill’. The album also features guest appearances by prof. Tadeusz  Sławek (lecture), dj Jazzbin (scratching) and Elwira Skrobska (voice).

'I’ve just moved to Warsaw and I thought I need a soundtrack reflecting what surrounds me now. “Wandering Constellations” is basically a trip throughout the music of the seventies. Jacek Furtak has skillfully mixed broadly-defined Polish jazz and funk music along with different sounds coming from various places on the map of Europe. The mix is also enriched with some new tracks from labels such as Strut or Now-Again. Let us take a look at the author himself: Joteff is a promoter, record collector and a DJ, previously co-responsible for Basmentalism Poland project. He’s been publishing in magazines such as Klan Magazyn, Hiro, Hip Hop Magazyn, Polska The Times. Once having his broadcast in Warsaw’s Jazz Radio, now he’s engaged in a sociomusical project called Jazzmentalism. Here’s a short manual from Jacek: “I suggest taking a seat in a comfy armchair, along with a bottle of red wine, and listen…”

The release of this first solo project of the Australian was preceded by his guest appearances on compilations of the series Free the Beats and Break Asymmetry. This way Ears has been preparing us for something more substantial, something introduced by such tracks as ‘Red Rope’ or ‘Bus Trip’. This something is his album Sea Legs that features not only fantastic violin, piano or vibraphone parts, but also a mass of electronic and ambiguous sounds, that fantastically go together with the light equivocal rhythm section.

"Viper's Eye An Open Wound" is a short collection of musical sketches recorded during holidays 2007-2010. As in the "Groundhog Day" movie, july and august were always the same, each year the same sequention of events. To reflect such experience the most useful was image - bitter, ironic but also subtle and sugestive. Collage of hazy samples, field-recs, lazy seashore psychedelia came to a surrealistic message, warm and melancholic but with a bit of mystery. It's hot afternoon spent on diving into the white noise, reading "Lolita", listening to Washed Out and Piotr Szczepanik in waiting for refreshing storm. The mystery and tention but in the middle of summer - the worst what could happen is thunder lightning in the distance or jewelry unfortunately lost among the dunes. Free the beats is a project aimed at releasing bedroom beats that would not otherwise see the light of day as a free compilation once every three months.
Covering a range of styles and approaches to beat making the one theme drums.
Beat heads, and underground crate diggers who love their synths and dusty samples lock themselves away to produce a multitude of tracks that range from dubstep and glitchy electronica to down tempo instrumental hiphop and ambient beats.
The project is focussed around a DIY attitude. 100 Cd's burnt from home are bound in carefully constructed cases made from recycled materials and are a limited edition artwork in themselves. The cd's are given out for free and distributed in local record stores, sent to radio etc. Once the discs are gone thats it!
Themes found in the materials used to make the cases will be given to contributing artists and interpreted musically.

The Maaaigs is one of most bright one-man projects from east-ukrainian area. It’s created in autumn 2007 in Kharkov, Ukraine. During about one year the_maaaigs has made two full-length albums, which have common atmospheric draw, but different style/rythm construction. The first one is called “Pod Uglom” (Under The Angle) and sounds like works defined as idm, glitch, clicks and cuts and ambient. The album were published on cd by “Inner Destruction” - Kharkov promo agency, and now is being rereleased by russian label “Heaven Retribution” in net version. The sound of next stuff “Sociophobe” is more extreme. It’s coming closer to post-industrial music styles. There has appeared straighter and harder rythmsection, bpms are faster. Pogo is the pseudonym for the 22-year old electronic music artist Nick Bertke currently living in Perth, Western Australia. His work focuses on recording small sounds from single films or scenes, and sequencing them to form new pieces of music. Pogo has produced tracks using films like ‘Alice’, ‘Up’, ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘Harry Potter’, ‘The Sword In The Stone’, ‘Hook’, ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day’, and ‘Toy Story’.

It is our pleasure to introduce export label new representative – Danny Bow. A character known previously as Enbe, present on the music scene for few years now. His last album which was warmly welcomed, the “Theory of Jazz” released in 2007 by 16wersów label, still has a group of loyal and regular listeners. After longer absence the artist returns with altered profile. Hiding behind new nickname he takes up music themes which until now weren’t present in his quests. He expresses that in seventeen premiere tracks comprising “Frozen Memories” album.
The sounds of „Frozen Memories” create strong, continuous lines out of shraged single point. Sometimes by being abruptly broken off they push the listener into the feeling of insatiability, but after a while they compensate it with thick, intense tone. The other tracks from this album emphasize the rush of the world in all its forms, or build its complex structure.
